Laying, impregnation, care

Each tile is made separately, traditional techniques, entirely hand made that's why tiles may vary slightly between each other with thickness, tint, irregular edges or small imperfections. This gives a natural surfaces, traditional appearance and has no effect on the tiles. It is recommended to lay tiles chosen at random from different boxes. Cartons of tiles should be stored in a clean, dry area.

Laying cement tiles is simple, but it should be done very carefully.

It is good to start laying tiles "dry", as in the case of natural stone. In the case of a uniform pattern and color tiles, you must choose from a variety of boxes.
2. Tiles should be placed close to each other and maintain minimum 1mm spacing
3. Tiles can be cut to size using a saw to cut a wet diamond blade.
4. Use WHITE stone adhesives for fast drying and flexible.
5. The adhesive is applied to both the substrate and the rear wall tile.
6. Tiles should be placed in exactly the right place and push the hand (do not use a rubber mallet!).
7. Even the smallest adhesive contamination must be removed immediately!

Tiles may be arranged in showers, provided that the shower basin has suitable declines, preventing from leaving standing water and the floor / walls are covered with mortar with a high coefficient of water resistance.

Grouting.

Do not use ready-made joints in the form of pastes or colored grout, grout should be in a neutral color without pigment cement. Always use a grout powder, diluted with water. The grout should be very rare.
2. If the contractor fuguje cement tiles for the first time we recommend a trial on a backup dalle, if after washing and drying the tile colors have not changed, the entire floor can grout joints.
3. The safest way is joint made of two parts, pozzolanic cement and one part of silica sand with addition of water. The mortar should have the consistency of yogurt and should be applied to sweep the floor. Cement attach the tiles, quartz sand can be purchased at building warehouses or aquarium stores.
4. tiles before grouting should be thoroughly wet sponge. Then, after a 6-8 tile grout joints and keep wash with clean water. You need to prepare two buckets of water to clean the grout - first, flush with water from one bucket, then the other. If necessary, the water replaced.
5. Fugue good to wet the brush several times during the first day, do not allow to dry out too quickly.

People who have a lot of experience can use grout finished, be sure to powder and very rare, such as Mapei grout. Fuga not, however, be a different color than gray and you MUST backup, testing on the tile.

Impregnation.

Before impregnation tiles must be perfectly clean. If they are dirty, wash them with water and degreaser for example. Soap (the measure must be neutral). You can also use water sandpaper 180, abundantly wetting the tiles with water and washing once as cleaning.
2. Tiles must be dry! Best to leave laid the floor for a few, if necessary, for several days. Only then can be applied by impregnation.
3. Once dry, grout and tile floor should be covered with sealer (available in our offer), which is best applied with a brush liberally (liter should be enough for approx. 5-7 m2). Impregnation can be repeated (not earlier than after 24 hours).

Care / cleaning cement tiles.

After laying tiles, cleaning, wait a few days. Tiles preferably cleaned with warm water and a little neutral detergent, eg. Of soap.
